Martin Hone went over to Grantham the other day to lend a hand to the owner of the strip at Grantham and came back with these photos.
“They don’t do it justice”, he said, “None of the video you see on TV really brings home the scale of the devastation”.
Well here are some of the photos he took. Allow your imagination to tell you how the owners of these aircraft (and other things) must feel.

Those of us who are familiar with the area will recognise this place on the corner in the centre of the village. Just a little topsy-turvy.

And of course, the Jabiru we’ve all seen floating away. Not sure where it finished up, but I know it did end up a long way from home.
